How does clay brick benefit specifiers during Planning Gateway processes? BDA member Michelmersh Brick Holdings PLC has clearly defined the stages for duty holders and gateway regimes in their blog, but today we're talking about what it means for clay brick specifications. We recommend choosing clay brick from one of our members for its A1 fire safety rating and its uniformed size that withstands the pressure of additional loads. If a cheaper brick that isn't certified is substituted, it will be more difficult for a dutyholder to ascertain the quality, and therefore move it past approvals. This could cause delays or a substandard build.
