Brigid Bio is a biotech spin-out from the University of Aberdeen, developing first in class antibody-based drugs as safer and efficacious treatment solutions for high-risk and drug resistant fungal infections. We have developed a unique and proprietary drug discovery platform and identified key cell wall markers as novel drug targets which are fungal pathogen specific and critical for infection and resistance. Our lead human monoclonal antibodies to these targets have proven efficacy in a ‘clinically predictive’ in vivo infection model. Brigid Bio is supported by the Scottish Enterprise High Growth Spinout Programme and led by a team of globally recognized scientific expertise and commercial experience.

Our CEO Dr Soumya Palliyil and CSO Prof Carol Munro will be attending the World AMR Congress 2024 in Philadelphia 5-6th Sep. Dr Palliyil will be presenting the discovery and preclinical development of our novel, antifungal monoclonal antibodies for treating life-threatening and drug resistant invasive fungal infections at the #Fungal track and Prof Munro is part of an invited panel discussing new drug developments and approaches in tackling the emerging threat of antifungal resistance (#AFR).
