Six months on from the end of our Kickstarter campaign, Briiv 2 is now only a month away from making its real world debut! We've been working hard behind the scenes to keep things moving and on track, making small improvements and updates wherever possible. This Summer has been branded 'The Summer of Sport' with so many major sporting events to chose from; from the Euros, to the Olympics, and from the Cricket World Cup to Wimbledon! July is here which means the Plastic Free July initiative has begun! It's the month where we can all make the extra effort to reduce of plastic waste to be part of the solution to plastic pollution. Our Senior Marketing Executive, Serena Nash had the pleasure of visiting the first day of Wimbledon! During her visit she noticed a significant improvement in sustainability awareness since her last visit in 2018. The famous Pimm's were served in a reusable cup that could be returned to receive back a £1 per cup deposit, or dropped into one of the bins located around the site to donate the deposit to charity. Their classic strawberries and cream were also served in a biodegradable box that promised to completely break down (but not before your strawberries!). It's great to see an event like this taking proper steps towards sustainability and reducing their plastic waste.
