🌱On World Pulses Day🌍 Did you know pulses are more than just a nutritious food? They’re a powerhouse for sustainability! 🌱 ✅ Soil Health: Pulses fix nitrogen in the soil, reducing the need for synthetic fertilizers. ✅ Water Efficiency: They require less water compared to other crops, making them ideal for climate-resilient farming. ✅ Nutrition: Packed with protein, fiber, and essential nutrients, pulses are a key to fighting food insecurity. By incorporating pulses into our diets and agricultural systems, we can support healthier people and a healthier planet.🌱 #Pulses #Sustainability #ClimateAction #FoodSecurity #HealthyEating
Beans, lentils and other pulses are vital for the future of food and can contribute to the #GlobalGoals. Through their many health and nutritional benefits, pulses can also help achieve a #ZeroHunger world. They are a great source of iron and protein as well as low in sodium, fat and cholesterol.
