This week, members of the Bristol Airport team joined forces with John Perkins Construction to volunteer at the Weston-super-Mare Foodbank warehouse to help sort, organise and pack donations from all across the local area. 🙌

We had the pleasure of joining @bristolairport at the @Weston-super-Mare Foodbank warehouse for a day of sorting, organising and packaging their donations, ready to be distributed to the local area. Lucy, Wendy, Jane and Natalie led us through the workings of the warehouse and set us to work. It was a truly fulfilling day, learning about the community and the needs @Weston-super-Mare Foodbank are supporting. We are all facing challenging days in this economic environment, but it is heartening to see the efforts being made to support one another. If you want to get involved there is a list of Urgently Needed items and drop off locations in the post. They are also always looking for people to get involved, visit their website here Volunteer | Weston-super-Mare Foodbank to find out how. Last month, five members of the Bristol Airport team and four construction workers from FARRANS (CONSTRUCTION) LIMITED and Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd braved the wind and rain to spend a day litter picking, on the land adjacent to the main Airport roundabout. 🚮 The rubbish was separated into recyclables and general waste, with 14 bags collected in total! ♻️ Well done to everyone involved ✈️💚 #Teamwork #LitterPick #BristolAirport

Bristol Airport is inviting expressions of interest from potential partners to take part in a tendering process for a provision of a convenience store within the new landside Public Transport Interchange at the Airport. Bristol Airport is investing over £60 million in its largest capital project yet. The new Public Transport Interchange for coaches, buses and other forms of transport is scheduled to open in Summer 2025, and will also feature a multi-storey car park, glazed bridge link between the car parks and terminal, new waiting and rest facilities and enlarged drop off and pick up area, as part of a large expansion program enabling 12 million passengers a year to use the Airport. This area will serve all arriving and departing passengers from the Airport. Convenience store services at the Airport include, but are not limited to, the provision of sandwiches, snacks, drinks, confectionary, groceries and other food items for take away only. A huge warm and heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part in our charity golf day yesterday to help raise money for our charity partner of the year Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC). Together with all 20 teams, and support from our incredible business partners, we raised over £21,000. It costs £2200 each time the air ambulance responds to an emergency. This generous donation means that potentially 10 lives will be saved and 10 families will stay together in our local community. GWAAC do incredible work and we are proud to support. Despite it raining cats and dogs and being a day for ducks, all 20 teams braved the weather to play at The Kendleshire in South Gloucestershire. A special thank you to Mike Holt at LANCER SCOTT LIMITED for helping to arrange the day and making a very generous contribution along with J&G Fencing. And a big thank you to Massey Cladding, Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd, FARRANS (CONSTRUCTION) LIMITED, MB Construction, QuantumCLS TPS360, All Power, McCann & Partners, Barnwood, RyeBridge, Another Level, Burroughs, Whiteheads, Amber Consulting, Encon, John Perkins and Currie & Brown teams for taking part and their great donations. Many of whom also sponsored a hole along with CASS UK, Morgan Structural Wales, SFI Limited, M2 Flooring Limited, QDL, Air Systems, Whitehead, Holder Mathias Architects, Dial Marketing Leisure and Xenon Workplace.

Last month our Executive Team spent the morning volunteering at WsM Foodbank lending a hand in support of local families in need. The team were involved in unloading deliveries, sorting donations, and prepping the packages for distribution. It was humbling to see first hand the incredible work being done by the dedicated staff and volunteers at the food bank. The Weston-super-Mare Food bank plays a crucial role in providing essential supplies to families facing challenging times. If you'd like to support their cause, they are currently in need of donations. We are grateful for the opportunity to spend a morning contributing and showing our support.💚
