Over the past month we've been exploring the British Council for Offices Dialogues sessions, which have demonstrated the immense value of multi-disciplinary conversations. In our final article, we explore how these "water-cooler" moments can complement our day-to-day project work, leading to better outcomes for clients and communities. By sharing topical research and diverse perspectives, we can collectively push towards "providing better" and "responding better" to customer needs. The future of the workplace is constantly evolving, and so open dialogue and discussion remains critical to help shape the very best working environments for us all. The recent BCO Dialogue sessions allow a diverse collective of professionals from the built environment to share best practice as well as their lived and applied experiences related to pre-selected, pertinent themes relevant to the BCO membership. In Birmingham late last year the 2nd BCO Dialogue tackled critical questions around demand, occupational issues, supply, specification and design. From developers to occupiers, the broad perspectives around the table made for a dynamic and insightful discussion.
