BFRS is a Community Interest Company (CIC). A Social Enterprise that was created to work in support of the Armed Forces Community (AFC). It was established in September 2009 by the company CEO Harry Dean. A CIC is a business with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community (for us the AFC), rather than being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners. CICs tackle a wide range of social and environmental issues. For us it is to ensure the AFC are not disadvantaged due to their service. BFRS works as the focal point between the AFC and commercial businesses, helping the AFC to engage face-2-face (F-2-F), digitally with companies across the UK and enhancing their transition back into society and from career to career.

Honoring the Foreign & Commonwealth Contribution This Saturday, our Operations Manager, James Graham, had the privilege of attending the Foreign & Commonwealth commemoration in sunny Southampton, representing British Forces Resettlement Services. A guest of Samuel T. Reddy & Op Belonging, he stood at the cenotaph to honor the sacrifice of Foreign & Commonwealth soldiers, sailors, and airmen who gave everything in service. Thank you to all who attended and continue to support the shared history and contribution of the Foreign & Commonwealth communities.
On Saturday, I had the honor of attending the Foreign & Commonwealth commemoration in sunny Southampton as a guest of Samuel T. Reddy Op Belonging and representing British Forces Resettlement Services. At the cenotaph we heard words of recognition for those Foreign & Commonwealth soldiers, sailors and airman that made the ultimate sacrifice.Wreaths were laid by distinguished guests and the last post rang out over a diverse and respectful gathering. We then joined in a celebration of culture, dance and food outside the Guildhall. It was great to see the event supported by the High Commissioner for Fiji and High Commissioner for Zambia, Satvir Kaur, Michael Lawrence CMgr FCMI MAPM, Nimilote Rokotoro DTh student, MA, PgCert, BA(Hons) Davis D.
