📢 £20m Kirkby Valley golf course set for 2028 opening. Last week Knowsley Council approved plans submitted by Green Circle Leisure LTD for the £20m development of Kirby Valley golf scheme - a unique and important development for the region. Brock Carmichael created the full architectural design and #masterplan and will continue to work as lead consultant as the project progresses through detail design, construction, and to completion. Brock Carmichael led the clubhouse design, which has a golf shop, function space, and restaurant. The firm also designed the two-tier driving range, which also has a golf simulation area and teaching spaces, Brock Carmichael architect John Cassell said: “The new clubhouse and driving range buildings will provide first class social and leisure facilities. “It was important that the design and materials of the buildings fitted in with the wider masterplan, and complimented the natural landscape and visual character of the course.” We're excited to see Kirkby Valley take shape and continue to work with Allerton Manor Golf Club Estate that is progressing well. Satisfying to see this project completed and occupied. From first sketch to handover, complex planning through to constrained construction. Success for our client is our success. Watkin Jones Group
| 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗖𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝟯𝟯𝟱-𝗯𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗕𝗦𝗔 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗵 | Recently Watkin Jones completed on a 335-bed purpose-built student accommodation scheme called The Brook, situated in Lower Bristol Road in Bath. This milestone marks the completion of the final development in a portfolio of three PBSA schemes located in Swansea, Nottingham, and Bath. These schemes were sold by Watkin Jones Group to EQT Group in 2022 as part of a larger transaction, which represented EQT Exeter’s first venture into the UK PBSA market. Part of a major mixed-use project, The Brook is a two-building development with 215 cluster flats and 120 studios and has began to welcome students for the 2024/25 academic year. The scheme will be managed by This is Fresh, Watkin Jones specialist accommodation management business. A big thank you to all of our colleagues, partners and supply chain partners who have supported in the delivery of this project.
