Wicked problem? How collaboration can help tackle it 🤝 A key takeaway from our Leadership Day reinforced by Professor Keith Grint insights, was clear. To make an even greater impact for our customers and communities, we must involve not only ourselves but also people from other sectors, our customers, and the wider community. Real change happens when we work together, across boundaries, to create lasting, positive impact. If we can do this, we should. #Collaboration #CommunityBuilding #UKHousing Paul Taylor Stephanie Foster Emma Hopkinson-Spark Sujahn Barhey Leo Awadzi Saoirse Fearn Nora Ragze

We invest in homes and relationships so people can thrive.
About us
We’re a housing association – one of the biggest in the country, with almost 45,000 homes across central and south west England. While we believe in providing warm, safe and secure homes, ultimately we’re a people business. Not only do we care about the 100,000 people who live in our homes, we want them to thrive. We believe that having a great place to call home is just the start and with the right relationships and someone who believes in your potential, almost anything is possible. Our customers are the people that live in our homes for rent and shared ownership. Our customers are also those who rent our garages and our commercial buildings and those buying one of our homes for outright sale. That’s why we will continue to make a difference by investing in relationships and in connecting people, so our customers get to where they want to be. Because when they succeed, we succeed and that success drives us to do even more. That's why our purpose is simple and honest: We invest in homes and relationships so people can thrive.

Today we’re announcing our first-ever decarbonisation targets as we aim to become a net-zero carbon company by 2050. Over the next four years we plan to reduce the intensity of our Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions by retrofitting our existing homes, electrifying our fleet and building new energy efficient homes. We’ve made the announcement at the same time as we’ve published our 2024 Sustainability Impact Report, which charts our progress towards becoming a more sustainable organisation, covering everything from how we’ve improved the energy efficiency of our homes, reduced our gender pay gap and supported customers to ensure their tenancies are sustainable. We're delighted to be working with Vistry Group to provide 250 new affordable homes at Longbridge - can't wait to get started and start welcoming customers to their new homes.
Our West Midlands team has joined forces with Bromford to build 695 sustainable homes in Longbridge, SW Birmingham, formerly home to the MG works. Bromford, one of the UK’s largest housing associations, will own and manage 250 affordable homes: with 132 for social rent and 118 for part-buy, part-rent through their shared ownership scheme. A further 209 units will be destined for the private rental sector and the remaining 236 properties will be available on the open market. The scheme will also stimulate economic growth through on-site employment, as well as providing further benefits for the local community. Thank you to Gateley Legal for their support on this project.

We've transformed old garages and houses into 44 modern homes for social rent in our latest regeneration scheme. All the new homes have energy efficient gas boilers, solar panels, waste water heat recovery systems installed, making them among the most energy efficient homes we've built in South Gloucestershire. With some properties attracting more than 280 bids from prospective customers it shows the need for even more affordable housing in the area. Congratulations to the team and our partners E G Carter & Co Ltd for getting these homes completed for our new customers.
