How do we decolonise the teaching of contract law? Deborah Chay and I spoke about the importance of context in contract law. Introducing context means we talk deliberately about law and society as well as the imperial origins of some key cases 🔑📚 Lots of discussion of connecting discrete areas of law, legal systems around the world and the law in Papa New Guinea and Nigeria 🇳🇬🇬🇳 A delight to present to a wonderful audience in School of Law - University of Leeds at the CIRLE Innovation and Research. A big thank you to Professor Lydia Bleasdale for organising! And to Amrita Mukherjee, Chloe Wallace, Professor Alex Nicholson, Dr Nick Cartwright and Steven Montagu-Cairns for a fab discussion over cake 💬🍰 Presenting with the excellent Debbie Chay is one of my favourite things to do. Meryl Dickinson, Tonbara Mordi and Sally Wheeler also did the heavy lifting on this project 🙌🙏 Brunel Law School
