Reds10 have posted some knockout results this year, with a 70% revenue increase to £143 million and a rise in pre-tax profit, Reds10 is setting the standard in terms of modular construction! 🏗️ Their commitment to innovation has been showcased through a number of advanced solutions. One example of this being their smart Military Accommodations that allow occupants to customise heating and ventilation for improved energy efficiency. Their strategic diversification into the Justice Sector, including modular prison cells, has fuelled growth, while recent public sector contract wins highlight their expertise in delivering high-quality, sustainable buildings. The UK Government has announced a £22bn investment in two major carbon capture projects in Teesside and Merseyside. These projects aim to cut industrial carbon emissions and boost economic growth in areas affected by past industrial decline. The projects, set to capture millions of tonnes of CO2 annually, are expected to create up to 4,000 jobs directly and support many more in the supply chain. By integrating hydrogen production, these clusters will help decarbonise hard-to-green industries such as steel and cement production, a significant step toward the UK's goal of achieving net-zero by 2050. 🌱 ____________ How do you see this impacting the construction industry going into 2025? The UK has announced the closure of its last coal power station, marking the end of 142 years of electricity production using coal. The plant at Ratcliffe-on-Soar is ceasing operations as part of the UK's broader goal to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050. 🔥 Coal, once a cornerstone of the British energy sector, has been progressively phased out due to its significant contribution to carbon emissions and its role in driving climate change. This move is a significant step in the UK's energy transition, where coal is being replaced by cleaner energy sources such as wind, solar and nuclear power. The UK are the first developed nation to do this and are paving the way for the rest of the world. ______________ Turn on our page notifications to get more updates on the UK's strive for NetZero 2050, including a discussion around the newest carbon capture developments currently happening! 🚀 #buildspace #ukgovt #sustainability #NetZero #deliberatelydifferent
