We are excited to share the latest news from the ongoing #BioSubstrate 2.0 project. Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting Bart Vandecasteele from ILVO Living Lab Agrifood Technology in Belgium, along with other respected participants, for an insightful tour showing our joint efforts in developing sustainable alternatives to #peat. Tour Highlights: 1. Dansk Biofiber og Gødning: Svend Hoff gave an in-depth explanation of their innovative bio fiber production process. 2. Vesthimmerlands Biogas (BioCirc): Flemming Nielsen led a detailed tour of the biogas facilities, offering valuable insights into the production and use of biogas. 3. Pindstrup Factory in Kongerslev: Sven Erik Lanng guided the group through our factory, detailing the production of wood fibers and our dedication to sustainable practices. The BioSubstrate 2.0 project is a Danish initiative funded by GUDP - Grønt Udviklings- & Demonstrationsprogram. The project aims to replace peat with locally up-cycled residue products from various industries, promoting a circular economy and reducing environmental impact. This tour was a great opportunity for participants to see firsthand the dedication and innovation driving our mission forward, and to exchange experiences and ideas, fostering collaboration and innovation in our shared mission. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to explore and develop sustainable solutions for the horticulture industry. #Sustainability #Innovation #Horticulture
