Rock n Roll Circus 2024 🎪🍻 I had a great weekend supporting Rock n Roll Circus in Sheffield - one of my favourite things about working festivals is meeting talented event professionals who go above and beyond everyday to make sure the event is a success for customers, artists and guests. Role: Artist Liaison Responsibilities: Responsible for all artists on the introducing stage. Liaising with Stage Manager and Tour Managers on band timings and set up.

Great to be invited to CHS Leeds yesterday - below are some of my takeaways from the event. 👀⬇️
Yesterday I was invited along to CHS Leeds and attended some really interesting and thought provoking talks about resilience for event managers, using AI, sustainability and accessibility of events. Some of my key take aways: 🤖 There’s so much more to AI than ChatGPT and we’re only scratching the surface of ways we can benefit from it in the event space. My action - explore the built in AI within Monday.com. 🌳 Food equates to a larger % of carbon emissions compared to travel. Booking venues that minimise their carbon emissions through more sustainable food sourcing and waste processes will make a difference. My action - ask all venues I engage with what they’re doing in this space. 💙 Making events (and communications) more accessible is better for everyone, not just the people who need these adjustments to engage in what you’re doing. Captions are a simple way of making videos and events accessible to people who are hard of hearing, English isn’t their first language and neurodivergent. My action - ensure closed captions are switched on! Thanks to the CHS team and Royal Armouries for hosting us for such an engaging event!

Top 30 Under 30 in Leeds 🏆 Someone very kindly recommended me for the Leeds & West Yorkshire Top 30 Under 30 and I was fortunate enough to make the list! (Award speech incoming! 🏆) I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me over my career at Skipton Building Society, Sky Betting & Gaming, Flutter UK & Ireland and all the amazing freelance event professionals I’ve worked with at Bingley Music Live, Gateways Festival and Bingley Weekender. That’s a wrap 🎬 Last week I delivered two big events ahead of Cheltenham Festival, working with Sky Betting & Gaming and Flutter UK & Ireland. 🏇🐎 The first event was with Sky Bet to deliver a preview event with racing experts sharing their tips and views on The Festival. 👀 🏇 The second event was on behalf of Flutter UK & Ireland, bringing together their three brands, Sky Bet, Betfair and Paddy Power. In the event each brand talked colleagues through their Cheltenham Festival campaigns and offers. We were also joined by award winning jockeys and TV presenters talking about what it’s like at Cheltenham. Our guests then stuck around to commentate our very own Flutter UKI Gold Cup race - sneak peak at the race below ⬇ My responsibilities at these events included: 👩🏽💼 Event Management 🎙️ Briefing talent, speakers and crew 📝 Script writing 🏇 Artist Liaison (jockeys and national TV presenters) 🎥 Liaising with AV and supporting production of the event 📩 Event communications ✅ Ordering merch, catering and entertainment Delivering these events are a highlight in my year, working across Sky Betting & Gaming, Betfair and Paddy Power to showcase how we’ll win together. 🙌🏽

📣 New qualification in event management! Chuffed to bits that I've been awarded a Distinction in my Professional Diploma in Event Management! This course takes you through the steps of event management from conceptualisation, planning and execution, covering: 🔍 Event feasibility, defining themes, and executing a strategic planning process. ⚙ Technical, production, and personnel aspects of event coordination. 📃 Creating schedules, budgets, timelines, and production plans, ensuring that every element falls into place. 👷♀️ Safety and risk management factors in event management. 🎙 Marketing and PR strategies and sponsorship tactics to enhance the ability to attract participants and elevate the reputation of your events in the marketplace. I was assessed through two assignments, a pitch presentation and a written project.
Anyone who knows me knows I love getting involved in an event - whether that’s delivering events to bring a message to life for colleagues, or working music festivals with artists and traders - if it’s an event, I’m there! While I’ve been getting hands on experience in the world of events for over 6 years, I recently took the opportunity to step back and study event management through a Professional Diploma. After completing the assessment, which consisted of an event pitch and written proposal, I’m super chuffed to share I’ve been awarded a Distinction! 🙌 Thanks Sky Betting & Gaming for my self development fund which helped make this possible!

2/3 festive events complete for Sky Betting & Gaming 🙌🏽 In this event I invited local independent traders to set up a stall at the SBG Leeds office, giving the businesses an opportunity to showcase their products and our colleagues the chance to buy Christmas presents conveniently at work! We had everything from: 🍫 Homemade brownies and blondies selection boxes 🤤 Personalized biscuits - colleagues could send a selfie and watch it print onto their biscuit!) 🖼️ Yorkshire themed illustrations 🐶 Homemade dog treats 🎄 Christmas gifts 💙 A raffle run by SBG’s charity partner, Children's Heart Surgery Fund My event responsibilities: 💬 Liaising with the premises team on venue requirements 🔍 Sourcing independent traders which would cater for the event audience 📱Liaising with traders ahead of the event through to delivery collecting appropriate trader governance 📩 Pre event communications _____________ If you’re looking for food or retail traders for your next event, get in touch to see how I can help!

Another year, another charity ball 🪩 This year Flutter UK & Ireland have been partnered with Children's Heart Surgery Fund following a colleague nomination and vote by our people. 🗳️ Our annual charity ball is by far the biggest (and best!) fundraising event we host to raise vital funds for the charity. With a mix of our popular activities and new surprises, we delivered a ball for over 700 people, raising a truly outstanding £255,000 at this one event alone! 🤩 The money raised last night will undoubtedly make a huge impact to CHSF and the people they support, including funding a state of the art echo software for the Leeds Congenital Heart Ward. Delivering these events are a yearly highlight, and seeing the difference we make to the charity just tops it off. 💚 And all of this wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers and of course Daisy Smith, Chloe Cross and Shinners. 🤗 Sky Betting & Gaming
