  • As the hours turn into days, and the days turn into weeks, we continue to keep our brothers and sisters in the Windward Islands, Barbados, Jamaica, and the Cayman Islands in our thoughts and prayers. We have been mobilizing resources and aid for those impacted by Hurricane Beryl through the Cable & Wireless Charitable Foundation, and our technical teams have been working around the clock to restore connections as we rebuild our networks. Since the storm's impact, we have made significant progress on both fronts, bringing more communities back online and reconnecting our valued customers to the things that matter most. We are also proud to have partnered with World Central Kitchen and this has been a beacon of hope for communities, as we are providing sandwiches, hot meals, cases of water, and fresh fruit to the hardest hit communities. Our colleagues across the region are also engaged in various internal fundraisers. Together, we will build back stronger! #HurricaneBeryl #CommunitySupport #CWCommunications #BuildingBackStronger #ConnectivityMatters #DisasterRecovery #StrongerTogether

Our very own Britta Reinhardt, Chief Commercial Officer, B2C, and Sameer Bhatti, CEO of The Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC Business), recently participated in a roundtable discussion at CANTO Caribbean 2024 on Digital Sustainability & Education.   Britta emphasized the transformative potential of AI for our societies and educational systems. The advent of GenAI, which can generate new content and process vast amounts of data, marks a new era in our digital world.   In this rapidly evolving landscape, the question arises: What skills will we need to succeed, and how should our educational systems adapt? Britta believes that students will need to be empowered in critical thinking and creating content on their own, and this is where educators should be focusing their attention going forward.   At C&W Communications, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve, and Sameer used the opportunity to highlight company initiatives such as JUMP which delivers all-important internet connections to low-income Caribbean households, a laptop, and digital literacy training.   By demonstrating care and compassion, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and create a positive impact on society.   We strive to connect everyone in our region, including the unconnected, and this is where our open platform and initiative of JUMP comes in to create a digitally inclusive future for all!   #CANTO2024 #WeAreLLA #LLA #CWC #CWBusiness #Flow #Telecommunications #Leadership #CWConnectsatCanto2024
