Today is #NationalMentoringDay, a reminder of the profound impact #mentors can have in shaping careers, boosting #confidence, and fostering growth 🌟 Mentorship isn't just about passing on knowledge—it's about providing support, encouragement, and the tools to navigate challenges. 📣  For mentees, having a #mentor can be transformative - it’s an opportunity to learn from someone who has walked the path before - to gain insights that go beyond textbooks and training - to build a network that supports both personal and professional development. Mentors offer more than advice—they provide a safe space to ask questions, explore ideas, and receive constructive feedback. 🗣️Mentors, on the other hand, gain just as much - guiding someone else brings fresh perspectives - reinforces their own learning - offers the satisfaction of making a positive difference in someone’s journey-  - a mutually rewarding relationship that strengthens communities and drives progress. On this National Mentoring Day, we are acknowledging all the #mentors at Cajigo, who have invested their time and energy into the development of others and encourage more women to step confidently into a new direction and lead successful careers in technology 🙏🙏🙏 Whether you’re a seasoned leader or just a few steps ahead in your career, your experiences could be exactly what someone needs to unlock their potential. We hope today encourages everyone to think of becoming a mentor and #givingback. Here’s to the power of #mentorship and the meaningful connections that help us all to grow! 🌟 #MentorshipMatters #Leadership #Growth #CareerDevelopment #MentorAndMentee #GivingBack #StrongerTogether

🚀 Let's Talk Tech Careers and Positivity! 🚀 To all the amazing women aspiring to break into tech, here's a reminder for you: Your MINDSET can be your greatest asset. The tech industry can be competitive, but staying positive and persistent will set you apart. Here's why: 🌟 Believe in Yourself: Confidence is key. Trust in your abilities and don't let self-doubt creep in. If you’re passionate about #coding #datascience #UX #design or any tech role, know that you have what it takes to succeed. 👩💻 Embrace Challenges: Every setback is a setup for a comeback. Don’t be discouraged by rejections or moments of doubt. Learn from them, grow, and come back stronger. Your dream role could be just one application away! 📚 Keep Learning: Tech is always evolving, and so should you. Stay curious, keep learning, and invest in yourself. Attend workshops, get certifications, and connect with mentors. The more skills you acquire, the more opportunities will come knocking. 🤝 Network Like a Pro: Surround yourself with other women in tech. Join communities, attend meetups, and participate in hackathons. There's a powerful network of supportive women who want to see you win. Find them, connect, and lift each other up. 💫 Stay Positive and Persistent: Remember, attitude is everything. When you radiate #positivity and keep pushing forward, you attract opportunities. Be the kind of woman who isn't afraid to go after what she wants. You belong in tech. You have a place in this industry. And your dream job is within reach.  Keep going, stay positive, and watch the doors open. 🚀 Building the Confidence and Careers of Women in Tech! 🚀 We’ve officially kicked off Cohort 3 of the Cajigo 100 Women in Tech Accelerator, with our amazing sponsor HSBC Innovation Banking! The energy was electric as we welcomed an inspiring lineup of speakers to empower and equip our incredible cohort. Who else is still buzzing from the first week? 🙌 ✨ We were honored to hear from Rupy Malizia , Chief Transformation and Strategy Officer, who delivered a powerful keynote on her career journey through male-dominated fields. She shared the challenges she faced, the lessons learned, and how to carve out a career where you own your space, embrace growth, and don’t let others’ opinions hold you back. Rupy ended with a clear message: #womenintech are all allies, as we rise, it’s crucial to lift other women every step of the way 💪 Our session also featured insights from Catherine Wright | Director of Corporate Finance and Megan Shefford | VP of Fintech, who shared valuable wisdom on navigating the tech world: 🔑 Confidence is a skill: Build it one step at a time and continuously push yourself beyond your comfort zone. 🤝 Leverage your networks: Building relationships through communities can elevate your career and others. 💡 Imposter syndrome can be experienced daily. Lean on mentors and trusted allies for honest feedback and validation that you're doing a great job. 🌱 Try something new: Don’t be afraid to take risks—you have everything to gain and nothing to lose. We also had the pleasure of hearing from #maleally Matthew Smith | Director Talent Acquisition EMEA, who emphasized the importance of #womenintech and creating supportive, inclusive environments where they can thrive. Breaking Barriers: Women in Tech Deserve More Than a Seat at the Table 🚀 The tech industry is filled with innovation, opportunity, and growth. But it’s also filled with barriers that women still encounter every day. From #genderbias and #impostersyndrome to limited #mentorship and #unequalpay, the challenges are real. But here’s the thing: we’re stronger than any barrier placed in our path. 💪 ✨ Gender Stereotypes and Bias: Tech is not a “man’s field”. Women continue to lead in innovation, breaking the mold with every line of code. Remember this: WOMEN BELONG in every space where decisions are made and should be acknowledged for their skills and contributions. ✨ Unequal Pay & Opportunities: We’ve all heard about the #genderpaygap, and it’s frustrating. But remember: KNOW YOUR WORTH and ask for it unapologetically. ✨ Balancing Work & Family: Navigating work-life balance is tough, especially in tech where demands can be relentless. But don’t let anyone tell you that you have to choose between family and career. You get to define what “having it all” looks like for you. ✨ Self-Doubt and Imposter Syndrome: If you’ve ever felt like you didn’t belong in the room, know this—YOU ABSOLUTLEY DO. You have earned your place, and the world is better for your presence in it. Surround yourself with #mentors and #allies who remind you that you’re not just enough—you’re exceptional. To anyone feeling the weight of these barriers: You’re not alone, and you’re not powerless. Together we can advocate for change, support each other’s growth, and pave the way for future generations of women in tech 🙌🏼 The glass ceiling may still be there, but we’re cracking it with every achievement 🚀✨ Let’s continue to push, disrupt, and innovate. Our voices matter, our skills matter, and our impact will be felt across the tech industry and beyond. To all the #womenintech: Keep showing up. Keep speaking up. And keep breaking those barriers. We’re unstoppable. 💥🔧💻 Cajigo’s 16-week accelerator starts next week and we can’t wait to support another 100 women in tech and help them #breakbarriers 🙌🏼 🚀🚀 Image: Cajigo alumna speakers at the 2023 graduation event, who talked about being unstoppable and the opportunities that arose with the support of their mentors ✨ #WomenInTech #GenderEquality #TechCommunity #Empowerment #WomenWhoCode #DiversityAndInclusion

Today, on World Mental Health Day 2024, let’s all take a moment to reflect on the importance of mental health in the workplace. Work can have a huge impact on our mental health. It can be good for our mental health, giving us a sense of purpose, boosting our self worth and providing opportunities to connect with others. But it can also be a source of stress and anxiety and contribute to developing or worsening mental health problems. With this year’s theme, Mental Health in the Workplace, it's a reminder that mental well-being is as crucial as any other form of health. Here are a few tips to prioritize your mental health at work: 🗣️ Talk to someone you trust. Whether it’s a colleague, a friend, or a professional, sharing your thoughts can lighten the load. You're never alone. 💪🏼 Stay active. Even a short walk or light stretching can work wonders for your mood. Movement helps release stress and clear your mind. 🎧 Engage in activities that recharge you. Reading, painting, or simply listening to music or podcasts – whatever calms you, make time for it. 🌎 Focus on the world around you. Practice mindfulness or take a moment to appreciate your surroundings. Sometimes a breath of fresh air is all it takes to feel grounded. 💖 Tell yourself everything will be fine. Self-compassion is key. Remind yourself that tough times are temporary, and it's okay to pause. Let’s create workplaces where mental health is prioritized, and everyone feels supported 💚 #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthInTheWorkplace #WellBeingAtWork #SupportEachOther #MentalHealthMatters
