#InspireInclusion this International Women's Day Last week, at Wales Week / London, we had the privilege of hosting an inspiring and thought-provoking panel on Women in Leadership: Supporting Future Leaders at the Florence Nightingale Museum—a fitting venue to celebrate leadership, resilience, and progress. Chaired by Robert Lloyd Griffiths OBE, the discussion brought together a powerhouse panel: 💡 Sharon James Evans, Cardiff and Vale College 💡 Carol Bell, Football Association of Wales and experienced industry leader 💡 Denise Lewis Poulton, The National Lottery Heritage Fund board member and experienced industry leader As we mark International Women's Day 2025, the conversation underscored both the progress made and the work still to be done: ✔️ Visibility matters. Role models don’t have to be senior—but they must be seen. Many women haven’t grown up seeing female leaders in their industries, making it even more crucial to show up, share experiences, and lift others in any way we can. ✔️ Progress isn’t a given – it’s a mission. Whilst we have women on boards, there’s no clear pipeline to sustain this growth. Progress isn’t guaranteed—we must actively champion future female leaders. ✔️ Your network is your power. Surrounding yourself with the right people makes all the difference. Whether in hospitality, finance, creative industries, or beyond, support networks empower and elevate. ✔️ Fear is just a sign you're about to do something bold. Leadership might seem daunting, but one powerful takeaway was: take the step, even if it feels uncomfortable. Every voice matters. ✔️ Allyship is essential. Creating inclusive cultures and ensuring diverse leadership isn’t just a women’s issue—it’s a collective responsibility. Everyone has a role to play in driving change. As we continue to develop leaders of the future, we remain committed to fostering workplaces where everyone can thrive. This International Women’s Day, let’s move beyond conversations and into action. Let’s continue to support, mentor, and advocate—not just today, but every day. If you're looking for support in your leadership journey, no matter what stage you're out we're running a Women in Leadership Online Development Programme this June - find out more: https://lnkd.in/e8SjVP_J Who has inspired you in your leadership journey? Let’s celebrate them in the comments. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2025 #IWD #InspireInclusion #WomenInLeadership #WalesWeekLondon #CallOfTheWild #BigLearning #LeadershipDevelopment
