Equally owned partnership between Cambridge City Council and Hill Investment Partnerships established in 2017.
About us
Cambridge Investment Partnership (CIP) is an equally owned partnership between Cambridge City Council and Hill Investment Partnerships established in 2017 to address the acute housing need by providing high quality new council homes, market sale homes and commercial and community facilities. A year ahead of its initial target, to start at least 500 council homes by March 2022, as part of the £70m Cambridgeshire and Peterborough devolution grant, it is now on site building over 500 new council homes (900 homes in total), has already completed eight sites under Covid guidelines and is now working to delivering a minimum of 1,700 new homes, with 1,000 being council homes within 10 years, including the first pilot Passivhaus accredited council homes in Cambridge.

We take a look back at the wonderful works of art from year 5 pupils at St Laurence Catholic Primary School which is taking pride of place on our hoarding at our Buchan Street development. 🏗 The children created drawings that reflect their thoughts around the theme 'Local Communities' with many featuring Cambridge's iconic punts and the River Camb. 🚧 Exciting Progress at Queen Edith’s Way! 🚧 We are building eight low-carbon, gas-free family homes in the Cherry Hinton ward of Cambridge, transforming a former brownfield site into a future-proof development. 🏡 Proceeds from these private sale homes will support the delivery of affordable housing elsewhere in the city, creating a broader impact for the community. This project reflects extensive collaboration with planning officers and local residents, ensuring it exceeds sustainability policies and meets the needs of the area. 🌍 Hill Group UK Cambridge City Council! #Planning #Partnership #NewHomes #Development #Sustainability #SustainableDevelopment #Cambridge

🌳🏠 #ThrowbackThursday – Last week, we celebrated the completion of Colville Road Phase 3! This latest project has delivered 48 new council homes and four commercial units, underscoring our ongoing commitment to providing more affordable homes for Cambridge. 🙌 The completion was marked with a special tree-planting event involving pupils from Colville Road Primary School, alongside Ward Councillors, Homes England, and members of the CIP team. 🌱 This event highlighted the community spirit that has been at the heart of this project from the beginning, with trees from the site originally donated to the school. It was a beautiful moment as the children returned to plant the final trees at the development, helping to enhance the local green space for everyone to enjoy. 🌿 Read more https://lnkd.in/eKaUSChi Hill Group UK Cambridge City Council #AffordableHousing #CommunityEngagement #Sustainability #Cambridge #HousingDevelopment #TreePlanting #GreenSpaces #BuildingCommunities

To officially mark the completion of our latest developments at Aragon Close and Sackville Close, we were joined by pupils from Kings Hedges Educational Federation School and local councillors to plant the final additions to the landscaping. These developments have successfully transformed two former garage sites into 14 two-bedroom, low-carbon council homes, with seven homes at each location. The new homes are a testament to our partnership's commitment to providing affordable, sustainable housing in the city. Each home is designed with low energy consumption in mind, featuring gas-free heating, thick insulation, and additional features such as car parking, landscaping, and cycle storage.
