🏆The Daedalus Waterfront masterplan has been recognised in the 2024 Planning Awards as winner of the mixed-use development category. Daedalus Waterfront is a joint venture between Patron Capital, MurrayTwohig Developments and Orwell Real Estate — appointed by Homes England as development partners for the 18 hectare former seaplane base HMS Daedalus in Lee-on-Solent. The Planning Awards recognise outstanding work in planning and placemaking. The vision for the masterplan includes workspace and light industrial uses, 346 new homes, and the restoration of 76 heritage buildings, of which several are Grade II listed. Whitby Wood is providing inter-disciplinary engineering expertise for the joint venture, delivering structural, civil, geotechnical and heritage services. Cameo and Partners Director Jonathan Buckley had the pleasure of giving a talk to final year undergraduate students at Landscape Architecture at Leeds Beckett | LinkedIn in March. The talk focussed on moving from masterplan to detailed design aligned to the students final year major project followed by a discussion on how to make the best job application and interview tips. Planning committee give GREEN LIGHT last night for Avenue Park Road, next to Tulse Hill station. This new development in Lambeth offers 75 genuinely affordable new homes, a mix of sizes, including 3-bed family homes. The homes will be available at rents far below market levels, similar to council rents. Improvements to Avenue Park Road including ‘play on the way’ facilities for children and SUD’s interventions have been driven by the demands of the landscape and public realm design. In addition, the site will connect local wildlife networks within the borough. This scheme will contribute to a significant wildlife habitat resource. Daedalus Waterfront on the South Coast gets green light for Planning. Fantastic news. The masterplan will open up five acres of new public space, create 270 new homes and refurbish the heritage accommodation blocks for a further 76 homes, generating 240 full-time jobs a year and an estimated £117.8 million of social and local economic value over ten years. Cameo & Partners are very excited to announce the planning submission for Iver Heath Date Centre West London. The design will open up the existing site and create 18 acres of newly created green biodiverse space of which 11.3 acres will be accessible to the public with lakes, streams and walkways connected by public footpaths alongside 6.7 acres maintained exclusively for wildlife.
