Cantab colleagues took to the streets of an exceptionally rainy Cambridge on Sunday 22 September to run in the ‘Chariots of Fire’ charity relay race, which looped around many beautiful and iconic city sights. Although the weather conditions were challenging, the Cantab team achieved a time of 1:08:41 to place a commendable 21st out of the 255 teams who took part. Since its inception more than 30 years ago, the Chariots of Fire event has raised in excess of £1.5m for local charities, with this year’s race in aid of the Magpas Air Ambulance charity. The fundraising total stands at nearly £26k and is still rising – well done to all participants for such a fantastic effort.

As 2023 drew to a close, the Federal Reserve, Bank of England, and European Central Bank once again held their rates steady during December. Markets eagerly await news regarding any potential cuts. Although last year was marked by heightened volatility and uncertainty, we retain optimism as 2024 begins. We encourage investors to focus on longer-term growth prospects and anticipate the improvement of global economic conditions. For our full January 2024 Investment Comment, follow the link below:
