Jess has been a director at Healix Insurance Services Limited for the past 12 years, and co-founded Capacity Insights in 2023. We asked her a few questions to see what #InternationalWomensDay means to her, and more … ♀️ What inspired you to launch Capacity Insights? Setting up an MGA was a long-held ambition for us. We wanted to reposition the original company into a business where we have more control of our destiny, and one that enables us to grow and #innovate, providing bespoke services across a number of #insurance classes and giving clients true ability to develop unique product lines for their customers. ♀️What does International Women’s Day mean to you?  It’s a great day to recognise women’s achievements and progress in all areas of life and to appreciate the impact that #women continue to make in the world. It’s a day when we can unite and celebrate all women doing all sorts of amazing things, making the future better for the next generation of women and girls. ♀️What advice would you give to women just starting in the insurance industry?    Be confident in your abilities and follow your ambitions. Build #connections with like-minded people and surround yourself with people who support you, challenge you, and give you opportunities to grow and develop. ♀️Who are some of your favourite female role models? We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for a 2025 National Insurance Award Nominated in the ‘Innovative Product Award – in Partnership’ category for our work with Absolute Military, this product highlights Capacity Insights’ ability to work with niche and complex sectors to create bespoke insurance solutions. Absolute Military is an independent broker serving military personnel, who saw the opportunity to create innovative #insurance solutions for their target market and address existing insurance gaps. Partnering with Absolute Military as their #MGA, we were able to develop a risk-based personal accident cover that’s a first-of-its-kind for the military market. We also created tailored travel insurance and kit insurance; an agile, comprehensive coverage that adapts with personnel from the time they enter training to after they retire; and full integration of these products into the Absolute Military app and web portal. We’re very proud of the growth Absolute Military has achieved as a result of these offerings, the cost savings they’ve made thanks to reduced #claims handling fees and a move away from premium finance models, and the benefits and cost savings for #military members.
