🌪️ OMNISHAMBLES = the way businesses currently engage their employees on sustainability. A swamp of questionable offsetting, dull training, childish gamification and lame calculators 🤢.    It offended us so much that we decided to do something about it and built the Carbon Jacked Employee Sustainability Platform 🌍 – a platform people actually want to use.    It brings together content creators and tech to:  1. Educate employees by teaching them about climate, nature and sustainability 🌊  2. Improve their wellbeing by inspiring them to get out into nature ⛰️  3. Take climate action through personal action, volunteering and supporting climate projects 👊    It’s epic. But don’t take our word for it, have a look for yourself.     Sustainability matters. Employees matter.     You know where to find us.    https://lnkd.in/eMAPnkmZ Saving the planet shouldn’t be boring.    #CarbonJacked #Sustainability #EmployeeEngagement #ClimateEducation #ClimateAction #Wellbeing

10 countries. 3400 miles. 100 hours of trains. From Blighty to Baku we go. That’s right. Our next adventure is here. And it’s bigger – and longer - than ever. It’s mega. We’re going to COP29 Azerbaijan – the big climate change conference - but we’re not taking the easy route. We’re taking the train… or rather many, many… many trains. 🚆 3 weeks today we – myself Jess and my two Carbon Jacked at co-founders – Jack & Jacques - ‘The Jacks’, will leave the UK to travel all the way to Baku in Azerbaijan. Now if you’re not sure where Azerbaijan is… it’s really bloody far away. It’s going to take us about 2 weeks. We’ll be sharing content along the way – sharing the highs, the lows, the tantrums, the emissions saved, and everything else in between. 🗺️ Why do this?! This isn’t about never flying - we just want to show that sometimes you don’t have to. We’re all about Imperfect Environmentalism & about adding spice to sustainability. 👁️ And why are we going to COP29 Azerbaijan? Various reasons - but the main one for me is that we’ll be launching the Second Nature Sisters | Org Interview Series where I talk to leading women across sustainability & business and tell their story. 💥 Thanks to our friends at Eurail for helping make this happen. Can’t wait to bring you sooooo much train footage. Wish us luck… with that many trains & connections… we’re probably going to need it. 😅 Saving the planet shouldn’t be boring. Sustainability Advisor at Carbon Jacked | Coordinator at Second Nature Sisters

Over the past two months, I've had the privilege of working remotely while travelling through Portugal, Italy, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, and Greece - all while prioritising sustainable travel - thanks to the incredible Carbon Jacked. A highlight was the unique opportunity to discuss climate change with people from across the globe, with varying backgrounds and working across a range of industries, some of which include: - Luc - from France, working on research for insurance of natural disasters.  - Shashank - from Australia, interested in discussing consulting and the role it has to play in helping businesses to become more sustainable.  - Olivia - from France, passionate about living and travelling more sustainably.  - Ellie - travelling for a year to take a break from her career as a sustainability consultant in the UK, as she was tired of greenwashing.   - Casa do Impacto - a coworking space in Lisbon, hosting many start-ups focussing on tackling the climate crisis.  - Aleja - from Colombia and living in LA, loves to complain about the heat waves (we suffered a pretty rough one together in Belgrade). And many more people who were passionate about sustainability. Alongside supporting our clients with sustainability at Carbon Jacked, and having these interesting conversations, I also explored breathtaking natural spots - some of which are pictured below. I feel I have deepened my connection with nature, fuelling my passion for sustainability and protecting nature further. However, whilst the trip was full of positives, it would feel unnatural not to mention the negative effects of climate change I witnessed, including heatwaves and wildfires across multiple countries. Talking to locals about how the wildfires have become more frequent and harder to control was a stark reminder of the urgency needed in the fight against climate change. Specifically, they struggle to deal with the fires once they spread from bush/grasslands that can be quickly replenished, to more dense forest areas that will take decades to recover. There are further difficulties when it comes to fires in remote areas that are hard to access - huge dependence on air support is required for these cases but often the fires become uncontrollable. Thankfully this summer there has been more rain in the areas I visited, which has helped the locals cope with the fires, and they expressed huge relief for this. It was truly shocking to witness this first-hand. But it was a reminder that immediate action is needed to address climate change - and this needs to be a global effort. But - to end on a positive note - I want to once again thank Carbon Jacked. I am hugely grateful for the amazing and unique experience and have made memories that I will cherish for a lifetime ❤️

Splendid night recently at the The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) Employer Celebration Evening. From our experience, getting your first grad job can be pretty tough, especially in sustainability, so it genuinely has been class to support the LSE Micro Internship Programme by giving students who have limited work experience a chance to work in this space. We’ve had an awesome set of individuals go through the programme Sarah Duffy, Kago Rantsho, Georgie Andrews, Sam Wildfire, Tanvi Surana, Allegra Blu Bernstorff, Briyanna sharma, Aaron Morjaria And last but not least, the magnificent Leah Rimmington who continues to work for us today at the heart of our sustainability advisory business, as well as being an integral part of Second Nature Sisters | Org, an organisation dedicated to for women who work (or want to work) in sustainability... and add spice whilst doing it. (Also good to get our at times camera-shy Founder Jack Curtis up on stage to receive an award 🥳). Thanks to Sariththira Selvakumar and the LSE Employer Engagement team for everything they do.

We were delighted to present awards to Carbon Jacked and Sounddelivery Media at our Employer Celebration Evening last week. Jack Curtis, alum of the LSE Department of Government and founder of Carbon Jacked, was awarded the Full Circle Award for LSE alumni. Jack's support and participation in our Summer Internship Programme has been incredibly important for us. By consistently providing exciting and impactful work experience opportunities in a sector that is often difficult to break into, Jack has helped open doors for numerous LSE students, exemplifying the spirit of giving back while maintaining a strong bond with the LSE community. We awarded the Charity Engagement Award to Sounddelivery Media. The hard work of Jude Habib, Helena Hastings and Amal Abdi has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to supporting our students, hosting several LSE interns since 2020. The team has gone above and beyond to offer insightful learning experiences to students, even when capacity may be limited. They have also worked with us to expand our network with other smaller charities, enriching our internship programme and amplifying our collective reach. Thank you Carbon Jacked and Sounddelivery Media for your dedicated collaboration!

    Student at Loughborough University

Coinciding with the end of my term as Vice Chair, I’m delighted to announce Loughborough Lifesaving’s success in the Carbon Jacked x Loughborough Sport Climate Games, a pilot scheme targeting sustainability within sport. Working closely with Lucy Winter as club representatives, we achieved 3rd place in the Loughborough Sport Leaderboard and have begun the journey towards making our sport more sustainable. In achieving third place, our club was awarded £100 to donate to a sustainability charity of our choice; as a water-based sport we selected UOCEAN® 2050, a UK-based charity doing amazing work to engage underrepresented communities worldwide in marine conservation practices. I look forward to continuing this project into next year, and putting sustainability into practice in my new position as Swim Coach. Thank you to Carbon Jacked and Loughborough University for providing an innovative platform to target sustainability within sport, and I’m excited to see what can be achieved next season!
