This software eliminates the need for adenosine and a pressure wire, delivering critical outcomes - FFR values, percentage stenosis, pressure changes, lesion dimensions, and residual FFR - all within seconds. The latest release of Pie Medical Imaging's angio-based FFR software, Caas vFFR 9.2, includes several enhancements to streamline your workflow and analysis capabilities. Introducing our latest portfolio addition... Smartcanula! A self-expanding, wall-less cannula used to drain venous blood effectively during minimally invasive cardiac surgery. Its unique design enables a larger orifice area compared to traditional cannulae, allowing for superior blood flow with minimal trauma and reduced stress on the blood cells. This helps to prevent issues like hemolysis. One of the key innovations of the smartcanula is that it expands to provide optimal blood drainage (up to 6 litres per minute) through gravity alone, without needing external pumps or vacuum assistance. This design allows it to be used in smaller surgical access points while still providing superior flow, making it ideal for minimally invasive surgeries and reoperations where there is limited space. Recently, we had the honour of supporting the Leeds TAVI CT Course, organised by the team at Leeds General Infirmary in collaboration with the Abbott TAVI group. This session utilised 3Mensio software to offer an excellent opportunity for cardiology fellows to delve into the role of CT imaging in TAVI procedures.
