Here's our fact of the week! 🎓 The average human adult has 206 bones in their body, but a new born baby has 305 bones. This is because those extra bones present in a child's body will end up fusing to form bigger, larger bones. #Medical #MedicalFacts #FactOfTheWeek #PatientPositioning #Healthcare Source: https://buff.ly/4fkshfH

They've done it again! Franziska Zwinge and David Hulson like to make the most of the little time they spend physically at the UK head office – this time, not only were some product and training videos recorded, but an online product training session on our head positioning system for prone procedures, which is now part of the new BoneFoam Guardian Patient Positioning Solutions range, was also held with the BoneFoam sales team. We not only want to provide our partners with good products, but also to share as much information and experience as possible to reach our main goal: To not only optimise patient outcome, but also to make patient positioning easier. Many thanks to the BoneFoam sales team, who even joined the training while being on a busy event! We already look forward to the success stories. #surgery #patientpositioning #training #patientoutcomes #surgicalequipment #faceguard

🏆 We Did It! 🏆 The Care Surgical team took on the tough mudder challenge, and we couldn’t be prouder of our accomplishments! This wasn't just a test of physical strength and endurance; it was a test of our team spirit, resilience, and determination to push through the obstacles together. Whether it was trudging through the mud, conquering daunting walls, or braving the ice-cold waters, we showed the same grit and dedication that we bring to our work every day. It was an unforgettable experience that strengthened our bonds and reminded us that, as a team, we can overcome any challenge. A massive shoutout to everyone who participated and supported us along the way! 🙌 #ToughMudder #Teamwork #TeamBuilding #Resilience

It's time for fact of the week! 🎓 Though we are are unable to see it, human bodies emit a very low level of light. It’s called bioluminescence, a process that occurs due to the metabolic reactions within the body. This doesn’t mean you can go lighting rooms if there’s a powercut of course, but you are emitting a low level of light at all times. #Medical #MedicalFacts #FactOfTheWeek #PatientPositioning #Healthcare Source: https://buff.ly/4fkshfH

Happy World Spine Day! Today, we celebrate the backbone of our lives—literally! Your spine supports you every day, so let’s take a moment to support it back. Whether it’s through stretching, staying active, or practicing good posture, little habits can make a big difference. Let’s celebrate by paying a little extra attention to our backs! Keep moving, stay flexible, and show your spine some love! #WorldSpineDay #LoveYourSpine #HealthyHabits #PostureMatters #SupportYourSpine

E = Easy Sometimes you have to try something new to realise that it can be easy. When developing our CS Easy Prone, for example (the name says it all), we made sure that it can be adapted to the different body shapes of patients thanks to its two-part design. The different heights allow patients to be optimally positioned with a neutral neckline, regardless of which head positioning system is used. Choosing the right height also ensures that the abdomen is compression-free at any time. Our CS Easy Prone Comfort and Standard Covers also provide easy-to-fit protection - both for the supports and for the patient. No need to use drapes and tape. The CS Easy Shin Support is a new addition to the CS Easy family. Compared to rolls or half rolls used for positioning the shins in the prone position, the Easy Shin Support not only offers a larger support surface and therefore optimised pressure distribution, but also has a height that is suitable for a wide range of foot sizes. Welcome to the #Easy Life ;) #PatientPositioning #PatientOutcomes #Easy #Surgery #Spine

N = Novelties ‘We've always done it this way’ is a phrase you rarely like to hear. We are passionate about what we do and like to think outside the box. Together with our specialists from the operating theatre and our incredibly skilled engineers, we not only want to (further) develop products that have already proven themselves over decades in operating theatres around the world - we want to create #novelties, innovations that will hopefully make their way into everyday life - and at some point will be indispensable because they offer a relief that you no longer want to miss. #PatientPositioning #Spine #Novelties #PatientOutcomes #Surgery

I = Improvement Sometimes you don't have to reinvent the wheel - there are already very good products on the market that make it easy to position patients, especially during spinal cases. However, sometimes there is still room for #improvement. Thanks to our customers in different countries, we are able to gather experience worldwide, which we can incorporate into our product development. We listen to our customers, take a closer look, see the problems and try to find solutions. And if we can achieve a positive effect with just small improvements (because sometimes that’s all it takes) - then we know that we have done everything right. #PatientPositioning #Surgery #Spine #PatientOutcomes

P = Patient Positioning It is not only surgical techniques that have evolved over time. The requirements for patient positioning have also increased considerably. Damage such as pressure sores, damage to the ligamentous apparatus, nerve damage, bruising and burns during surgery must be avoided at all costs. With our range of patient positioning products as well as our expertise - particularly in the area of prone positioning during spinal surgery - we aim to improve #patientpositioning worldwide and thus contribute to the success of surgical procedures. This is to make our customers' work easier (e.g. by protecting their backs) as well as increasing the well-being of patients. #PatientPositioning #Surgery #PatientOutcomes #Medical
