Inclusive Olympics Day Success!! A huge well done to everyone who took part in the Inclusive Olympics Day on Wednesday 25th September, the event was a great success. Over 70 people attended with their family/support workers/carers/teachers and took part in over 10 activities. Our aim of increasing participation and engagement in activity/sport was certainly achieved. Jacqueline Balmer, Specialist Physiotherapist at CPG said: “The enthusiasm and buzz throughout the event was electric – we had a day full of pure joy! It was great to see so many people taking part, unlocking new skills and fulfilling individual goals. During the day we managed to cycle to Paris (508miles) and medals were won by all. "Thank you and very well done to everyone who took part. A big thank you to the Community Learning Disability Team and Lincs Inspire (and their partners) for organising and supporting this incredible event.”

Exploring the Future of Cancer Care ✨ Our Macmillan Living with & Beyond Cancer (LWBC) Team went to York to attend the annual Humber & North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance Conference, where they networked and were updated on the future of cancer care and the latest initiatives within our area. During this event, there was an awards ceremony to celebrate achievements within the alliance and Sarah Ross, Macmillan LWBC Support Worker, was nominated for her hard work and dedication to the service! They also have been to The Canopy Community Hub for the All Things Menopause event, where they gave a talk about support available for people living with cancer & experiencing menopausal symptoms. A short film was shown which highlighted the experiences of people with a cancer diagnosis & shines a light on the importance of language used by clinicians during diagnosis & treatments. #KPOW Watch it here 👇 https://lnkd.in/eQyrGbvA
