The conservations delved into the success of purpose built student accommodation (PBSA) and whether co-living can replicate the same future for investors and operators. The Labour government has set an ambitious target to build 150,000 new homes annually. Whilst this is good news for the planning and real estate sector, it leaves one core question, how will it be resourced? At CBRE we have looked at the potential opportunities that AI has created for the sector, like: - AI can process planning data quickly, automating validation and reducing errors. Planners can then focus on critical tasks. - AI can streamline responses to householder applications, improving consistency and speeding up the process. - AI can summarise complex documents making planning more accessible to diverse communities. AI should support, not replace, human input, but it frees up planners for meaningful engagement and creative solutions. Explore more in our AI in real estate series: https://cbre.co/3zTGY9o
