Rewarding young people to get stuck in at community hubs by rewarding them with food pantry vouchers 💡 It was fascinating to hear that teens are keen to bring a bag of groceries home for their family. It's a key incentive introduced by Tyrone Curran and the team at Oasis Scunthorpe. TEDx speaker Ty said: "Most of them want to bring home groceries for their families and provide for them." Debt, benefits advice, housing and employment support top the list of needs. Many are in paid, full-time employment but can't make their money stretch. Camerados exist to bring people together despite their differences. So election time was a great incentive to debate the silly things in life. Division is a creeping and insidious thing, especially in communities like Grimsby where people are already under pressure to make ends meat. But we won't let it win. We think we can play a big part in bringing people together. One dunk at a time.
