Really exciting to see the launch of the Translational Innovation Hub Network to address key challenges around lung health in CF.
In partnership with the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, we're proud to co-fund a new network of hubs aiming to speed up the development of new tests and treatments for lung infections to improve how lung health is managed in the UK. Guided by insights from people with cystic fibrosis, the Translational Innovation Hub Network for Lung Health and Infection strives to address unmet needs and will explore a range of innovative approaches, such as AI and sniffer dogs, to transform lung infection detection, treatment, and management. The network consists of 4 hubs, based at the University of Cambridge, University of Liverpool, The University of Manchester and Imperial College London. Our combined research teams will help overcome the common barriers that often prevent scientific discoveries from reaching patients. The network will also bring together world-leading experts from different fields of knowledge to train the next generation of scientists and clinicians.
