A family business established in 1860 and one which still has the family actively involved at the helm. I had the chance to visit their showroom in Loughborough and to have a chat about product, the market , challenges and opportunities with Steve Law , their Sales Director. The volume of brushes made and sold is eye watering! I’m talking lots of 0s. And this is what you may know the company for. However the categories they service now are extensive . Home Living Garden Maintenance Outdoor Dinong & Heating Garden Living DIY & Building They trade with virtually all retailers across traditional Housewares sector to the sheds and trade diy specialists. My favourite category (new to me) was Fireside! Beautiful collection that is already selling well. And the simplest yet cleverest product was Marxman, a marking tool for professionals !
