In the UK, Chiesi has a workforce of over 400 people employed directly or indirectly with chosen partners, who are based out of our head office in Manchester, the Research and Development centre in Chippenham, and across the UK as part of our experienced field-based sales teams. As with every part of the Chiesi group, we embrace a shared set of values and a common code of ethical conduct. This demands the highest standards of reliability, transparency, and individual accountability, in everything we do. It emphasises the importance of collaborative working, putting people first and exchanging knowledge. Implicit in all of these values is a responsible attitude to the social and environmental impact of our actions and, in this regard, Chiesi was proud to achieve the B Corp certification in June 2019. Today is World Customer Experience (CX) Day, a day designed to celebrate the companies who are putting their customers first. For Chiesi, that is healthcare professionals. We know that healthcare professionals in the UK are facing significant pressures; largely driven by lack of time and resources, coupled with ever growing demand. What they need from us is support, and our CX commitment is centred around just that. Julie Peers, from our CX team, explains more: #CXDay #SupportingTheNHS UK-CHI-2400756 | October 2024

As Organ Donation Week draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the importance of organ donation and its transformative impact on the lives of countless people. 💗 Thanks to liver and kidney transplantation, thousands of people who would have faced life-threatening organ failure now have a second chance at life. 2024 also marked the year the UK surpassed 1,000 anonymous kidney donations to strangers since the law changed in 2006 to allow non-directed altruistic living kidney donation. Despite these advances, the challenge remains significant. With an ongoing shortage of available organs, there are continued barriers. There are also lower organ donation rates within Black and Asian communities, meaning that patients from these backgrounds often wait longer for transplants. As we move forward, we remain committed to supporting those affected by liver and kidney disease, advocating for change to improve patient outcomes. #OrganDonationWeek UK-CHI-2400744 | September 2024

💗 Today marks the start of Organ Donation Week! 💗 The gift of an organ to help someone in need of a transplant is truly life-saving. Organs that can be donated include the heart, lungs, kidneys, pancreas, liver and small bowel. Thousands of lives in the UK are saved or transformed each year by organ transplants. Sadly, however, someone in the UK dies every day waiting for a transplant. With 7,000 people currently on the waiting list, the need for organ donors is greater than ever, and people of Black and Asian heritage often face even longer wait times. 2024 also marks 30 years of the NHS Organ Donation Register, which was set up in 1994 as a secure database that confidentially records your decision on organ donation, it’s important to remember that. This LHON awareness day, we’re sharing information about the disease to raise awareness. 🔬 What is LHON? Leber hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) is a mitochondrial genetic disease that causes rapidly progressing vision loss and is currently estimated to affect between 1 in 30,000 to 1 in 50,000 individuals in the UK. LHON causes progressive loss of vision over time, which can require significant emotional and practical adjustment. Signs and Symptoms of LHON: ● Blurring and clouding of central vision that is needed for detailed tasks, while the peripheral vision may be less affected. ● Loss of colour vision. If you, or anyone you know may be affected by symptoms of LHON, please speak to a healthcare professional as soon as possible to get appropriate advice. There are several organisations and charities across the UK that aim to raise awareness for patients with LHON such as Fighting Blindness, Lily Foundation and LHON society. You can also visit the Chiesi LHON awareness website, https://lnkd.in/emmT8bmQ. #WorldMitoWeek2024 #LHONAwarenessDay UK-CHI-2400730 | September 2024

That’s why we have launched a new website containing information about the disease and support for those affected.  🌐 Visit https://lnkd.in/emmT8bmQ today and let’s come together to raise awareness and recognise those living with LHON. #WorldMitoWeek2024 #LHONAwarenessDay UK-CHI-2400729 | September 2024

To get Britain talking about COPD, we’ve created a space where people living with COPD, along with their friends and family, can find information, support and connect with others facing similar challenges. We’ve had over one thousand COPD conversations from our last three events in Salford, Bromborough and Hartlepool. The final You, Me & COPD roadshow event of 2024 will be coming to ASDA Thurmaston, Leicester on Friday 4th- Saturday 5th October. 👉🔗Visit https://lnkd.in/e2_AiWcr to find out more. #Leicester UK-RES-2401198 | Sept 2024
