About us
Founded in 2021, we at CFW are tremendously passionate about all “things Chinese”, be it culture, film, history, politics or language. CFW aims to host a film festival focusing on Chinese cinema, with the specific aim of showcasing the quality of Chinese film and how the media (through film) has responded to rapid social changes in China. We aim to facilitate education and cultural awareness specific to China in an effort to combat issues relating to Sinophobia, while promoting Chinese cinema. Alongside the film screenings we plan to organise forums, masterclasses and discussion panels on cinematography and themes related to the films.
