Forty in Feb 🎊 This month is all about Graeme Cruickshank, our Distillery Operations Manager. In 1985 a bright eyed Graeme joined us in Strathisla on a six month contract. Within two weeks, he was made a permanent member of the distillery team and has been with us ever since. From sites in Aberlour and Braeval, all the way up to Scapa, Glentauchers and Longmorn, Graeme’s dedication, expertise and passion for whisky have played a vital role in shaping our distilleries over the past four decades. We've achieved a UK first for sustainable distilling wheat! 🌾🥃 Every grain of distilling wheat supplied to us by Simpsons Malt Limited  is now verified to Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) Gold – the highest sustainability standard from the globally recognised SAI Platform. This milestone, achieved with more than 120 farmers in the Chivas Brothers Strathclyde Growers Group, including Carina Calder of Lintlaw Farm in the Scottish borders (pictured), ensures 100% of the distilling wheat supply uses first-class sustainable farming practices across a range of topic areas, including soil and nutrient management, crop protection, biodiversity, community impact and employee welfare. This achievement reinforces our shared commitment to regenerative agriculture, which we aptly call 'Cultivating Progress'.
