We are delighted to announce the results of The Henderson’s Inaugural sales. The first live auction at our new Asia Pacific headquarters. The Au Bak Ling Collection, was a ‘white-glove’ sale, achieving a 100% sell-through rate, with one of the lots selling for more than 3 times its record. A particular highlight was lot 5, a rare blue and white pear shaped bottle vase that sold for a total of HK$27,600,000/ US$3,563,533. As a result of this memorable collection, the total sales reached an impressive HK$87 million/US$11.2 million. Similarly, the 20th/21st Century Inaugural Evening Sale was a resounding success! Achieving a remarkable total of HK$1.04 billion /US$134 million, with an impressive 93% sold by lot. A highlight from the sale was Lot 13, Vincent Van Gogh, Les canots amarrés which realised for HK$251M/ US$32M, setting a new auction record for the artist in Asia. The auction also set a remarkable eight world records for other artists! With a viewership of 5.2 million, the event truly captivated art enthusiasts worldwide.
