A huge thank you to Chartered Institute of Public Relations president elect, Advita Patel for attending our AGM. Read her ambitions for the coming year 👇🏽

I’ve recently attended a few Chartered Institute of Public Relations AGMs to share my ambitions for my presidency year. I have three key objectives 👇🏽 ▪️Friction-free learning. Access to more affordable learning and flexible training. We’ve already started adding cost-effective micro-learning modules to the on-demand platform - and more will be coming soon. ▪️Enhancing the benefits of Chartership. I know there are several debates about whether PR is a profession or an industry. Ultimately, I care about ensuring we have a voice of influence where it matters. Chartership is an excellent opportunity to help establish our place in the business world. ▪️Cultivating a culture of inclusion so every member thrives, regardless of demographics or background. We have made significant strides at CIPR, but the serious work has started. We have the opportunity to lead by example and provide support to our members so they can deliver their best work. We want every member to have a great experience and trust that, as a member, they will have access to some of the best training, various communities, and invaluable opportunities the profession has to offer. If you have any questions or are unsure whether you should join us, send me a direct message, and I’ll get back to you. Finally, a huge thank you to all the volunteers who work tirelessly to host events like the AGM on their own time. Your hardwork is appreciated. Alt text: I’m standing on a stage, delivering a presentation. I’m wearing a black dress and a blazer, with a colorful belt, and I’m holding a notecard in my hands. The backdrop is a large screen displaying text against a gradient backdrop that transitions from purple to pink. The stage is set with two grey chairs and a small table holding water bottles.

Great attendance at today’s CIPR East Anglia webinar on branding and rebranding! We had an engaging session hosted by Kelly Quigley-Hicks Chart.PR, featuring invaluable insights from industry experts Nic Wray Chart.PR MCIPR and Touch Design. The first presentation was a case study from Tinnitus UK. Nic Wray explained why Tinnitus UK chose to rebrand—to reach new audiences, increase visibility, improve understanding of their purpose, and enhance fundraising capabilities. Their new brand identity looks fantastic and is already delivering great results. Next, we heard from Touch Design, who shared many valuable tips. Here are three that stood out: 1. Honest briefs: A clear and honest brief is crucial for a successful rebrand. The quality of the outcome is directly tied to the quality of the input. 2. Audience focus: Your messaging should always be centred on your audience’s needs and interests, not just your own preferences. 3. Consistent signposting: Ensure that any website or campaign elements are aligned and user-friendly, avoiding barriers that could hinder the desired action. Overall, the session provided a wealth of practical advice and inspiration for anyone considering a rebrand. A big thank you to our speakers for sharing their expertise, and to all who attended. We look forward to seeing how these insights will shape your future branding strategies! #Branding #Rebranding #Marketing #Webinar #TouchDesign #Insights

We are pleased to announce our continued support of Under the Tree; a free online training programme where people working in PR and communications can learn the knowledge, skills, and techniques to grow stresswise. This year, Under the Tree is being delivered by a new stress management firm Seijaku and together we aim to help all PR professionals to manage and optimise stress in the workplace more efficiently. Only when we work together can we reduce the worrying figures that show 9 in 10 PR professionals experience poor mental health. This is why we're collaborating with Seijaku, Fox&Cat, PRCA and the Healthcare Communications Association (HCA) to ensure we make a positive difference. The series of eight free drop-in sessions will be delivered by a network of expert trainers and covers topics such as rewiring your stress response, working with emotions in stressful times, the essential role of rest and self-care, and more. Read the full session summaries and register online here: https://lnkd.in/ednyeBfs #UnderTheTree #WorkplaceWellness #MentalHealthAtWork
