The Government’s recent announcement of a new Modern Industrial Strategy for the UK included both financial and professional and business services among the eight growth-driving sectors identified. This recognition of the role of these sectors as engines in the the UK economy is a welcome reflection of the calls that the City of London Corporation, working with key industry partners, made in our landmark report Vision for Economic Growth last year. We have started working on our response to the Government’s current consultation on the Strategy and welcome input from the financial and professional services industry and other stakeholders to this response. Please do get in touch with us to let us know if there is something you’d like us to take into consideration as we draft our response: https://lnkd.in/ecX2vGd9
