Brilliant to see all the winners of this year's #TBEAwards showcased in this great piece by 📝Ben Carey📝in The Business Exchange South West. We're still buzzing from winning the Best Creative Campaign for what was arguably the most challenging and emotive PR campaign that any of the team has ever worked on. Take a look at how our James Gwinnett, Client Services Director, described what the win means to us and why this campaign was so important: https://lnkd.in/eiHcW6PS

Some 'well dones' ... A huge 'well done' to Anita Jaynes, Sian Swift, 📝Ben Carey📝 and the rest of The Business Exchange South West team for last night's inaugural #TBEAwards which ran so smoothly it was as if it was celebrating its tenth year. A massive 'well done' to all the people in the room, for their contributions to the south-west's thriving #business market, and the #creativity and #innovation that was a testimony to the region. In our award category alone – Best Creative Campaign* – we were up against the mighty Distinctive Communications Ltd and Jazzbones Creative, both of whose work was exceptional. A monumental 'well done' to Christopher Skelley MBE PLY for sharing his incredible story of overcoming a lifetime of adversity to become World no.1 and Paralympic Champion, and do so with such openness and humility. But, of course, the biggest 'well done' of all to the Clearly PR team for scooping the above award for our work with the Baton of Hope UK. Thank you to the judges for their recognition, which is the icing on an incredible cake of being able to work on such an important and impactful #PR project. Big smiles from Paul MacKenzie-Cummins MCIPR and James Gwinnett at being able to collect the award, 3D printed from recycled plastic, no less, thanks to Edward Chudleigh MBE. Rupert and Rachael enjoying the newly launched 'The Day the Alien Came'! To celebrate St John's Foundation's milestone 850th year, the charity embarked on the special project of writing a children's book. With the help of local author Stewart Foster, 192 local primary school children used their creative imagination to create a one-of-a-kind story. The book is heartwarming and wonderful, we would highly recommend reading it! You can buy a copy via St John's website, Mr B's Emporium and Oldfield Park Bookshop. The profits will help to fill the libraries of the schools involved, to ensure the young authors have better access to reading materials. https://lnkd.in/ex-inRYR

What a week! We've just found out that we've received another award nomination, making it two in a week. It's a great honour to be a finalist in the inaugural #TBEAwards. We have been shortlisted in the Best #Creative Campaign category alongside Distinctive Communications Ltd and Jazzbones Creative, both of whom undoubtedly delivered some remarkable and impactful work. Indeed, the judges said, 'the finalists demonstrated a sensitivity and understanding of the needs of both the audiences to be reached and the client’s aims and outputs for their campaigns. Amongst a strong field of entries, these three really stood out for their positive intentions and #influence on their target audiences.' So that's already a ringing endorsement before we've even won ... which we hope to do at the ceremony on 17th October. Watch this space. The terms we use in our #communications carry weight and can influence perceptions. Recent coverage of large public gatherings has used words like "riots" and "looting," but is that always accurate? The language used when reporting on these events matters, as Clearly's Meg Palmer explains in this brilliant analysis: https://lnkd.in/et3CuaQY
