Applications are Closed – What’s Next? 📝💡 As our application window closed last week, we want to extend a huge thank you to every innovative mind who applied for our three programmes. Your dedication and passion are truly unparalleled, and we can’t wait to welcome our newest cohorts. As we move into November, here’s what to expect next! 🔍 Review and Assessment Phase: November – December 2024 🔍 Each application will be meticulously reviewed by two independent assessors. Those that meet our required threshold will be welcomed onto the programme. For applications that do not meet the threshold, a validation committee will step in to ensure a fair and justified review process. 📧 Outcome Notification: January 2025 📧 Both successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified via email. Successful applicants will receive an agreement to sign and return, confirming their place in the programme. Due to the high volume of applications, we regret that we are unable to provide detailed feedback on individual submissions. 🚀 Programmes Start: March 2025 🚀 We look forward to welcoming our newest innovators, whose transformational ideas and knowledge will help improve lives and our healthcare system for the future. It’s truly inspiring to witness the impact our network is making! 🌟 Congratulations to Ruby Jackson, Midwife and Cohort 8 Clinical Entrepreneur, for her nomination for the Black Women in Care award for innovation. This is a significant achievement and a testament to her passion and dedication. Ruby’s innovative solution, Melanatal, is a digital health education tool designed as an app to enhance the knowledge of birthing individuals and clinical staff about the clinical presentation of various maternal and neonatal conditions on Black and Brown skin. It also highlights signs and symptoms of conditions more prevalent among Black and Brown birthing people and babies. We’re also thrilled to see Ruby sharing her innovative solutions with Professor Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent OBE, Chief Midwife at NHS England, exploring how the Melanatal App can assist with the recommendations of the RHO neonatal report.
