NIS2 Takes Effect Today, DORA Set to Become Law in January 2025 As of today, October 17, 2024, all 27 EU member states must implement the revised Network and Information Security Directive (NIS2) into their national legislation. NIS2 applies to businesses based in the EU as well as any organization that offers services within the EU or to EU-based entities. This directive enhances the cyber security requirements for businesses and public authorities, introducing stricter security standards, expanded reporting obligations, and broader enforcement powers, including the potential for heavier fines. It will also influence the terms and conditions of both existing and new Cyber Insurance policies. Under NIS2, non-compliance can lead to penalties of up to €10 million or 2% of a company's global annual revenue. Additionally, competent authorities will have greater enforcement capabilities, such as conducting targeted security audits. Repeated violations may result in temporary service suspensions or the removal of responsible individuals from their managerial roles. In parallel with NIS2, the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), which came into effect on January 16, 2023, is set to be fully integrated into EU law by January 17, 2025. We started out in the South of the UK and, alongside expanding nationwide, we also went international with presence now in Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, India, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, UK, and in the US our services coverage now reaches 25 states.  #globalmsp

We’re saying goodbye to DTX London, the annual get together of visionary leaders, tech experts, and cutting-edge solutions across IT, cloud, AI and cybersecurity. The Cloudpush services team has had an enjoyable week up in Blackburn onboarding a new retail fashion client. Warehouse facilities present a very different set of challenges due to the sheer scale of the floorspace. This client is also moving to wireless pick devices and hence needed good Wi-Fi coverage across the entire warehouse. The Comms room is located a floor up which meant long cable runs. The guideline maximum distance without repeaters is around 100m but Cat 6 can be used for longer runs with some degradation of signal if using shielded twisted pair (STP) cable combined with good AP’s, in this case we swapped out all the existing AP’s for Ubiquiti UAP-AC-PRO which features the latest in WiFi 802.11AC MIMO technology with Wi-Fi speeds up to 1750Mbps (450Mbps + 1300Mbps). The entire facility is now flooded with high performance, and very secure Wi-Fi. Sadly we had to say goodbye to our beautiful local crash-pad with those stunning views and the much loved local pub! #msp, #onboarding, #itservices

We’re spending a chunk of this week up in Belthorn, just outside Blackburn, as we on-board a wonderful new client with huge growth plans. Our work this week includes warehouse, office, studio and server room with upgrades to security, network performance and segregating another business from their core network. Alongside all this we are on-boarding their IT systems into our Cloudpush managed service desk. The objective is to establish high performance and scalable IT systems to keep pace with the needs of a very fast moving business! #transformation, #itservices, #msp

"The IT Evolution World Tour" We had an incredible day at the Red Bull Racing Technology Campus in Milton Keynes hosted by Kaseya + Datto. It was massively oversubscribed with great presentations from Dermot McCann (EVP & GM, Kaseya), @Ranjan Singh (CPO, Kaseya) and Matthé Smit (GM of Datto RMM, Kaseya). We have been actively working with Kaseya for a while now, and heavily embrace 365 as our go to market for comprehensive Endpoint Management, Security, and Backup across our global client base. It was great to get more insight into all of these areas, and the longer term roadmap. Huge thanks again to Salman Ahmed and Michael Byrne for the kind invite. #kaseya, #kaseya365, #datto, #redbull

"The IT Evolution World Tour" Today, Cloudpush will be at the Red Bull Racing Technology Campus in Milton Keynes hosted by Kaseya + Datto and we're looking forward to a packed afternoon and meeting up with Dermot McCann (EVP & GM, Kaseya), Ranjan Singh (CPO, Kaseya) and Matthe Smit (GM of Datto RMM, Kaseya).
