What an incredible week we had at Riyadh International Disputes Week (RIDW)! 👉 On Sunday, we opened the week with an engaging and insightful discussion on one of the most significant developments in Saudi law - the Civil Transactions Law. 👉 On Wednesday, we partnered with the Saudi Centre for Commercial Arbitration for the official RIDW Gala Dinner - the marquee event of the week - celebrating the region’s rise as a global hub for commercial and investment arbitration. 👉 On Thursday, we wrapped up the week, hosting our second event, The Evolving Role of Arbitral Institutions – Insights from leading global institutions. Our disputes specialists were joined by industry leaders and explored the key legal challenges and opportunities shaping the commercial landscape in Saudi Arabia. A huge thank you to all who took part! As one of the largest disputes firms in the world, we boast over 70 partners, including nine specialists in Saudi Arabia. We excel in delivering complex, cross-border, multi-jurisdictional international arbitration services, ensuring our clients have access to experience and expertise as and when required anywhere in the world. At any one time, we are working on over 400 arbitrations globally and, with many of our team members also regularly sitting as arbitrators in a wide range of disputes, we have in-depth expertise of all the major arbitration rules and centres, including SCCA, ICC, LCIA, LMAA, SIAC, CIETAC, HKIAC, DIAC, SCC, ADCCAC, ACICA, ICSID and UNCITRA. As a partner in transformation, we are proud to support Saudi Arabia's ongoing transformation. We have been operating in Saudi Arabia for over 15 years. With more than 35 legal professionals, including 15 partners across our Riyadh and Jeddah offices, our team of internationally trained local specialists advise international and domestic businesses exploring the emerging commercial opportunities and the legal considerations of doing business in the Kingdom. We reinforced our commitment to growth in Saudi Arabia by establishing our regional HQ in the Kingdom in February 2024. Saudi Arabia's strategic commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation in the global commercial and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) communities was clearly demonstrated by the high level of engagement from private practice and in-house lawyers, ADR practitioners, legal advisors, judges, and representatives from both local and international public and private sectors.
