We’re excited to announce that CMR Surgical has been granted U.S. FDA Marketing Authorization for the use of #Versius in Cholecystectomy. The FDA marketing authorization of #Versius is a significant milestone, with Versius being the first multi-port, soft tissue general surgical Robotic Assisted Surgical Device (RASD) to successfully be authorized through FDA’s De Novo application process. Versius is a RASD intended to assist in the precise and accurate control of Versius Surgical endoscopic instruments and is indicated in the U.S. for adult patients 22 years of age and older, eligible for soft tissue minimal access surgery, for cholecystectomy. Versius is compact and modular, making it a versatile and portable surgical robot that can seamlessly integrate into virtually any operating room to perform. It's modularity and small size make #Versius easy for surgeons to adopt and easy to move around a hospital, ultimately maximising utilisation. With Versius, you can place your ports where you want them, to best suit the needs of each patient - supporting ease of adoption for surgeons, and allowing them to operate without needing to change their approach from laparoscopy. #TransformingSurgery

Designed to biomimic the human arm, #Versius empowers surgeons through optimised port placement together with the dexterity and accuracy of small, fully-wristed instruments. Versius offers 3D HD vision, easy-to-adopt instrument control, and a choice of ergonomic working positions, with an open surgeon console that has the potential to reduce stress and fatigue - supporting surgeons like Dr Sethia to perform more high-volume complex urological cases robotically so that more patients receive the benefits of robotic-assisted minimal access surgery. #TransformingSurgery #CMRSurgical

Our digital ecosystem offers the opportunity to make better informed decisions to improve patient outcomes whilst maximising efficiencies during surgery.   #Versius gives you the ability to gather robotic telemetry data and procedural case videos, supported by clinical context information from the CMR Registry together in Versius Connect. With the Versius digital ecosystem, we give surgeons the tools to understand the full clinical story of their procedures, so they can make informed decisions to improve patient care. #TransformingSurgery

Versius builds on surgeons' existing skills, allowing for a smooth transition to robotic surgery. The small and modular design of #Versius means you can place your ports exactly where you want them, enabling surgeons to consider patient aesthetics when positioning, without compromising the ability to perform fully robotic gynaecological procedures. Senior Consultant Gynaecologic and Endoscopic Surgeon, Dr Rahul Manchanda, shares how #Versius has supported ease of adoption of surgical robotics, and standardised care and faster recovery for his patients. #TransformingSurgery
