When we started CodeBase in 2014, our focus was on providing tech startups with a space to build, grow and scale. Since then, we've grown from a tech incubator into an organisation which helps build better ecosystems and businesses more widely to drive innovation, success and economic growth. To reflect our ambition and to more clearly convey what we offer, we've updated our brand and website. Techscaler Annual Report 2024 is live: Two Years of Impact & Growth! As the delivery partner for the programme, CodeBase is proud to be part of Techscaler's journey in building Scotland’s thriving tech ecosystem. Over the past two years, we’ve helped connect founders to the resources, mentorship, and support they need to scale. Techscaler’s impact so far: ✅ 1,411 individual members & 978 companies as of 2024, up from 610 and 502 in 2023 ✅ 742 members cumulatively enrolled in education programmes by the end of 2024, up from 369 in 2023. ✅ £118m total capital raised by member businesses since Techscaler began. ✅ 18,000+ event attendees across both years, nearly double the 9,500 in 2023. These milestones show the growing strength of Scotland’s tech community! We’re also thrilled for the vision for 2025, focussing on international connectivity, AI, Medtech innovation, and building Scotland’s tech skills pipeline. Download the full report!

It was great to host the final session of the Barclays Eagle Labs Care & Health Bridge Programme in Edinburgh on Wednesday. 🥳 The startups and corporates took part in a pitching workshop in the morning, followed by a tight competition in the afternoon. Congratulations to our two winners, Tracy Greenan of MyHelpa and David Branagh MBA of Raidmed, alongside finalist Dr. Claire Ann B. of eMoodle. 🏆 Thank you to our judging panel on the day - Dwynwen Hopcroft, Ken Sutherland PhD FREng FRSE, Ben Reasbeck, Hartesh Battu and Andrew McGinley. 🙌 It has been brilliant to work with some incredible experts in the HealthTech sector over the last 7 months and we’re pleased this final session stayed true to the aim of our Industry Bridge Programmes - to bridge the gap between startups and corporates! #IndustryBridge

Our CSO and Founder, Steven Drost has been appointed an honorary professor at the University of Edinburgh. He announced that he will be working with the team at the University of Edinburgh Business School to ‘help bring some of the lessons learned at CodeBase and Techscaler to a new audience’.
