Last month, we announced that we had received regulatory approval to launch our first Luxembourg domiciled ‘SICAV’ fund, Coller International Secondaries Private Equity Fund (CollerEquity), accessible to eligible private wealth investors outside of the U.S. The vehicle was seeded with $473m of assets previously raised from investors globally and is one of the first truly of-scale European open-ended secondaries funds. CollerEquity seeks to deliver a combination of absolute and risk-adjusted returns, diversification, and the opportunity for more liquidity than traditional private equity funds. We were thrilled to participate in HMC CAPITAL’s '2024 Latin America Private Equity Masterclass' in London this week. Coller hosted a drinks reception on Sunday, before our senior members delivered a presentation on private market secondaries later in the week. Stephen Ziff, Head of Investor Relations, moderated the session and was joined by Katrina Liao and Steven Stolk from our investment team who discussed trends and opportunities in the GP-leds space, typical portfolio construction of a secondaries fund and what to look out for as a seller in this market. Jake Elmhirst also joined the panel to provide the private wealth perspective. A big thank you to HMC for having us, and we look forward to the next event!
