We had an incredible two-day conference at Digital Garden Tokyo 25, Toranomon Hills Forum on 17th - 18th March and were proud Silver sponsors of this fantastic event. Commencing with an exclusive breakfast and setting the stage for the day's activities, Padraig MacColgain, Vice President, Head of APAC, delivered the Opening Remarks, reflecting on Colt DCS's 25-year journey in Japan. He highlighted the challenges we've overcome and shared insights on the new opportunities and obstacles we face today. Industry experts gathered for insightful presentations and discussions, including data centre operators and government agencies. Former METI Minister Yasutoshi Nishimura delivered an informative keynote session, covering a wide range of topics from data centre development to operations. Key topics of discussion included: - The pivotal role of data centres as the backbone of communication and the need for their early establishment, alongside the importance of power and communication infrastructure for AI generation, which is attracting global attention. - The significant potential of Japan's data centre industry, despite challenges such as lengthy construction lead times and rising costs. Various strategies to tackle these issues were explored. The event provided opportunities for knowledge sharing and valuable insights, helping both individuals and companies, to consider the future of data centres in Japan. National Safety Week is an annual celebration in India, dedicated to raising awareness about safety protocols in industries and workplaces to prevent accidents and protect employees.    From 4th March - 10th March 2025, our Mumbai team enthusiastically supported the 54th National Safety Week by promoting health and safety within Colt DCS. We organised various activities, including safety equipment display booths, group talks led by senior leaders and a tree plantation as part of the closing ceremony, to highlight the importance of safety.   The health, safety and well-being of all Colt DCS employees, staff, partners and project teams are of the utmost importance. By celebrating India’s 54th National Safety Week at our Mumbai data centre, we further reinforce our commitment to achieving a zero-harm status. 🌍 International Women’s Day has been celebrated for over a century, raising awareness and advancing progress for women in all aspects of life. For IWD 2025, we want to celebrate the incredible careers of all women at Colt DCS, showcasing the diverse paths we’ve taken to get to where we are today and honouring those who have supported us along the way. Through sharing our stories, we hope to inspire, educate and encourage everyone, reminding us all that there’s no single path to success.
