It's not Tom Roe's first time at the #MITAwards2024 🏆 But it is his first time there as an attendee! In preparation for the big day, we spoke to him to discover his expectations for the night and what he is most excited about.

We're still buzzing over yesterday! Over £2,000 raised for MARY ANN EVANS HOSPICE in memory of our late founder, Chris Peacock - that's 200% to target. A massive thank you to everyone who donated and enjoyed drinks and sausages with us yesterday! 🌭 There are plenty more 'thank you's to go around, so let's get started... A big shoutout to GOTO Events for supplying all the brilliant games (although we're still not sure who won Mario Kart). A huge thank you to Judith Dix and our Plan-It! team for making this event happen, we wouldn't have been able to get the fundraiser off the ground without you! An extra thank you to Sophie Colden and Sophie Boreham for their event management expertise during the planning stages and on the day. And finally, a big thank you to AW Lashfords, Sausages for supplying our trademarked (not really) sausage on a stick. Yesterday was a huge success, and we're sure we would've made Chris proud! ❤️

It's been a year since you left us Chris, and not a day goes by that we don't miss you. Your laughter, wisdom, and dedication are deeply missed. Chris and I shared countless laughs & tears. Conference Care’s commitment to exceptional service and a supportive environment was always our mission. Despite challenges, we pushed through, driven by your dedication to our clients & community. In your honour, we’ve accomplished much over the past 12 months: - Our team is expanding as we secure new business - We’re once again M&IT Magazine Gold Award winners - We’ve become a certified B Lab UK organization Chris’s legacy extends beyond business. As chair and treasurer of the HBAA (now beam) and chair of MEETING NEEDS, he raised over £100,000 for charity. His memorable initiative with the RNLI showed us the bravery of their volunteers. Conference Care was a significant part of your life. Chris’s legacy is filled with unforgettable memories. From the fun we had in your Ford Orion, the jovialities at Confex, the many boozy nights at industry dinners, and the entertaining we did with clients over 28 years – it was a joy. To honour Chris, we’re hosting a fundraiser for MARY ANN EVANS HOSPICE on Thursday, July 18th.
