Raising Standards, Building Trust.
About us
The Considerate Constructors Scheme works with the construction industry and the public to raise standards and build trust in construction. We are a not-for-profit, independently managed organisation. To help constructors improve their behaviours, we have created the Code of Considerate Practice which focuses on three key areas: Respecting the community; Caring for the environment; Valuing the workforce. Those registered with us make a commitment to conform to the Code and work to raise their standards above and beyond it. Whether you are a member of the public with a concern about construction activity, a contractor or supplier wanting to register your construction activity to raise your standards, or a construction client who would like your projects to register with us, we are here to help. Construction sites, companies and suppliers voluntarily register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. The Scheme's main areas of concern fall into three categories: the general public, the workforce and the environment. Visit our website to find out more or email enquiries@ccscheme.org.uk

It was a privilege for our Executive Chairman Amit O. to chair a panel considering the health impacts of construction on urban communities at the Healthy City Design Congress in Liverpool this week. It was great to hear from Samuel Bradley and Michele Young on how the effects of cumulative construction can be reduced through enhanced site monitoring, better contractor oversight and improved mitigation measures. #HealthyCityDesign #HealthyCityDesignCongress #HCD2024 #FutureCities

Is your team involved in heavy construction? Consistently ranked in the top three industries worldwide for serious injuries and fatalities, it becomes vital to address these risks and helping prevent incidents on construction sites. Leica Geosystems part of Hexagon X Watch's system to enhance safety during excavation by preventing the machine from damaging critical infrastructure and causing accidents. The system set safety boundaries around objects in the work area, automatically slowing and stopping the machine if it got too close. The operator must acknowledge warnings before continuing, minimising accidents.
