Ukraine Update: Russia’s Offensive, Odesa Port Strikes, Western Negotiation Talks, and Zelenskyy’s Victory Plan Amid Putin’s Defiance and 25% Defence Budget Hike Russia’s offensive continues grinding forward in Donetsk, with additional attempts to regain territory in Kursk. Despite signs that Russia’s advance may slow, Moscow still has the resources to sustain its military push, including ongoing long-range strikes. A major concern is the recent strikes on Odesa’s port, threatening Ukraine’s key 2024 maritime logistics progress. While not yet a full-scale campaign, the trend is alarming for Ukraine’s supply chains. Talk of negotiations is rising in the West, even as Zelenskyy drafts a "victory plan" for 2025. Speculation about potential territorial concessions is growing, but no peace plan is on the table, and Russia is ramping up defence spending by 25% for 2025. Putin’s refusal to engage with Western leaders adds to the uncertainty. For companies looking to invest in Ukraine, the stakes are high, but so are the opportunities. Control Risks is ready to guide businesses and investors through these challenges, offering expert risk management in volatile environments: https://lnkd.in/eGT_mwQ8 If you have any further questions on the current developments and beyond, you can contact me directly.
