Well done, Alex! ✨🧡 A huge shoutout to our very own Alex Harris, who bravely took on the challenge of shaving his head to support the Mindstep Foundation! 👏 It was fantastic to see the whole Convey Law team come together in the office to cheer Alex on, boost his confidence, and show our support for such an important cause 💪🧡 But Alex isn't stopping there—his head shave was just a warm-up for something even bigger… a skydive! 🪂 On April 5th, the Convey Law team will take to the skies to raise funds for Mindstep, a charity dedicated to mental health research, raising awareness, and supporting those impacted by suicide. A fantastic afternoon for a fantastic cause! 🎉🏉🔴 Yesterday at Convey Law, we hosted a thrilling quiz fundraiser in support of Velindre Cancer Service, and we’re so proud to share that we’ve raised £2,666.25 so far - getting closer to our £4,000 target! 👏 We had an amazing time testing our knowledge on Welsh culture, rugby, and general trivia, all while raising money for an incredible cause. A huge thank you to Emma Prince, our guest fundraiser from Velindre, for sharing powerful insights into the charity’s vital work supporting cancer patients and their families. Barclays Outage & the Importance of Proactive Conveyancing Last Friday’s Barclays banking outage threw a wrench into countless property transactions, causing delays and uncertainty for buyers and sellers alike. But thanks to the quick thinking and expertise of conveyancers, many were able to move into their new homes despite the chaos. ⭐️ Our Managing Director, Janine Wellington, highlighted the importance of Clause 5.2 of the Standard Conditions of Sale (5th Edition)—a crucial tool that allows buyers to take early occupation on a licensee basis while waiting for funds to clear. Some conveyancers hesitated to use this clause, but as Janine pointed out, it’s there to protect clients in situations like this. By staying proactive and informed, we can navigate unexpected disruptions and keep transactions moving.
