$25 Billion in Contracts for Saudi Gas Field 🔸️ Amin Nasser, the CEO of Saudi aramco, announced that the contracts for the second phase of the Jafurah gas field project and the third phase of the main gas network expansion project, which are set to be signed today, are valued at $25 billion. 🔸️ In his speech at the contract award ceremony, he mentioned that the first project is the expansion of the gas system, which has been a fundamental backbone for the Kingdom for five decades. 🔸️ Nasser stated that the expansion of the gas network includes 4,000 kilometers of pipelines, enhancing the network's capacity and connecting various cities across the Kingdom. 🔸️ For the first time, the business sectors in Jeddah, Jazan, and Al-Kharj will receive gas from this network, promoting industrial growth and creating job opportunities for Saudis. 🔸️ He added that this expansion will significantly contribute to the Kingdom's ability to derive 50% of its electricity consumption from this gas, alongside contributing to the development of the petrochemical sector. 🔸️ Nasser also highlighted that the development of the Jafurah field, the largest in the Middle East with a daily production capacity of 2 billion cubic feet of gas, will enhance the Kingdom's position as one of the world's largest gas producers, marking a new era of energy in the Kingdom. 🔸️He noted that this will also increase the production capacity of blue hydrogen, a type of low-carbon energy. #energy #oilandgas #naturalgas #aramco #gas #oil #SaudiArabia #Vision2030 #Development

In November 2023, Cormat was awarded FEL-3 Phase for Corrosion Management Plan (CMP) Package for Residue Upgrade Ras Tanura Refinery (RUTR) Project in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It involves corrosion management services for 20 units including utilities Cormat is responsible for the following deliverables. 1) Unique CMP & CRAS for each unit 2) Materials Selection Diagrams 3) Coatings Maps for each unit 4) Materials Selection Tables for each unit 5) Non-Metallic Study Report 6) Review & input for Piping Services Index (all units) 7) Licensor Materials Selection Validation

Under its subcontracted services agreement, Cormat Group is on track to deliver materials & corrosion deliverables and services for the UCC (Upstream Carbon Capture) Offshore Project based in Indonesia. It involves 2 NUI production platforms, wet gas pipelines, Enhanced Gas Recovery (EGR) Platform and pipeline for dense phase CO2, and Onshore tie-ins. Client is Genesis/Technip. End Client is BP Indonesia.
