Stunning sunset in Hull, and the first 12 of 100 are ready for installation 🤘 Officials have announced that the initial turbines for a significant wind farm off the East Yorkshire coast will be installed in the upcoming weeks. The Wind Peak, a specially designed vessel, has arrived in Hull to transport components across 80 miles (129 km) of the North Sea to the Dogger Bank site. This impressive vessel measures 162 meters (530 feet) in length and 60 meters in width, with the capability of transporting and installing seven turbine sets per load. Sven Utermöhlen, the Chief Executive of RWE, the company responsible for developing the wind farm, stated that this project represents the energy firm's largest offshore construction initiative globally and is on schedule to produce its first power within this year. #hull #sunset #drone #windindustry #cranehub #northsea

A Crane Accident? No...... amazing Crane Art from Nicole Eisenman: “Fixed Crane” Nicole Eisenman, a prominent and influential artist in contemporary art, has created a monumental public installation in Madison Square Park that challenges conventional perceptions of heroic symbols linked to human achievement. Titled "Fixed Crane," this work features a toppled industrial crane adorned with handcrafted sculptural elements. This installation represents a pivotal moment in Eisenman’s artistic journey, as it broadens her investigation into the twentieth-century concept of the "readymade," originally introduced by Dada artist Marcel Duchamp in 1916. Duchamp's idea sought to elevate everyday, mass-produced objects to the realm of fine art, and Eisenman pushes the boundaries of figuration within her work. This project coincided with the significant twentieth anniversary of the Madison Square Park Conservancy’s art program.
