Hello friends, Today’s session at the Cranfield Speakers Club was truly inspiring. Although there wasn’t a specific theme for the day, our #TMOD Kim Del Kaze witfully brought everything together using the word of the day, "inspiration," suggested by our Grammarian, Rachael Giles. And indeed, the day was filled with inspiration and humour. Special kudos to Summet, who is quickly mastering the art of table topics—his choice of topics as table topics master today was absolutely engaging! Big congratulations to our VP Membership, Dominique Bovell, for completing her Presentation Mastery #1-5 with a compelling speech on "The Lion City in the Strait," sharing the remarkable growth story of Singapore. While our VP Education, Kalyan Bollam, delivered an impactful talk on "Silence is Power," exploring how silence can be a powerful form of mental energy. His speech was part of his Presentation Mastery #2-3. Our general evaluator was the ever-inspiring mentor extraordinaire Tosin Elusakin (Adedipe), who provided thoughtful and insightful feedback that motivated everyone in the room. A big shoutout to our President Troy S. for being our timekeeper, Aaron for winning the table topics session and Kim & Dominique for sharing the humour vote. As always, we are open to welcoming new members who want to enhance their public speaking and leadership skills. Don’t miss our next meeting on 📅 November 13, 2024, at 6 p.m.—we'd love to see you there! #TeamCranfield #Leadership #Communication #Toastmasters #CranfieldSpeakersClub

Hello friends, Today, we improved our public speaking & leadership skills at our meeting. The theme for tonight's meeting was Adapting in Transitions. Dominique Bovell & Lusungu Ngwira both on their Presentation Mastery development pathways, were our two star speakers. Their topics, The Lion City in the Strait and Embracing Discomfort: The Path to Personal Growth, were engaging and captivated us all. James, our Table Topics Master for the evening, introduced an interesting twist to the table topics tonight. Troy earned the award for Best Table Topic, while Kim Del Kaze received Best Humour Award. Hello friends, We gathered again, both online and in person, to hone our public speaking skills. We had two insightful speakers. Tosin Elusakin (Adedipe) spoke about leading events with perspectives from #CHAIN24 while Sophia Wang ACIM spoke about the impact of negotiation. This is part of the pathway to achieve their personal and professional leadership goals within our supportive and convivial environment. Dominique Bovell's table-topic session was novel and engaging. It was the first of its kind for us all. She initiated, and we adapted! This is a tip of what you can get from this supportive & exciting community 😉 Lindsey and Troy S.'s presentations earned the joint award for our Best Table Topics, while James was our ⭐️ of the night, receiving the Best Humour Award. Don't want to miss the next meeting? Please join us again at 6 p.m. 📅August 28, 2024! #TeamCranfield #Leadership #Communication #Toastmasters #SpeakersClub

It has been a fantastic evening at Cranfield Speakers last Wednesday. Table topic session was led by Troy with thought-provoking questions related to colour, restaurant, food, etc. We believe that this might be chance for you to show your sense of humour, which is also part of communication skills. Prepared speeches have been delivered by Kim, a Ph.D student at Cranfield University and Sophia Wang ACIM. Taking little steps surely makes big difference in not only improving how we communicate but also giving an opportunity to reflect on little things both professionally and personally. Congratulations to winners of evening: 👏 👏 👏 Troy for the best humorous speaker 🏆 Tosin Adedipe for the best table topic. 🏆 #publicspeaking #buildconfidence #communicationskills #careeradvancement
