The majority of my work is for incredible charities and social enterprises, but occasionally I hop back agency-side and support marketing agencies 🌟 At the start of the year, I was welcomed into the Neighbourhood team to support them with email marketing and content planning. What’s your view on personalisation in marketing? YouGov recently did some research, and the results are a mixed bag — some people love it, while others reckon it’s a bit creepy 😬 When done well, personalisation can be brilliant. It makes your supporters feel valued, like they're truly part of something greater, and that extra personal touch can really show you care 🤗 But let’s face it, it can go wrong. If you start using it with the wrong audience or overdo it with people who aren't that engaged, it can feel invasive. Instead of feeling special, they might feel uncomfortable or even put off.
